How To Transition Your Travel Outfit

Thursday, October 27, 2016

Hey y'all! Today I want to show you how I like to transition a comfy travel outfit into a nicer/dressier outfit once you've reached your destination!

When picking your travel outfit, comfort is key. I usually go for a big comfy sweater or long sleeve shirt, because I tend to get cold on a plane or in the car. This sweater from Nordstrom is one of my favorites right now! The cold shoulder detail is something I haven't seen on a ton of sweaters lately so this one stood out to me.

The obvious next step here is yoga pants or leggings; they're what you can find me in 80% of the time ;) And if you're flying to your destination, a pair of slide-on shoes is most ideal for going through airport security. Lace up shoes are super cute, but you don't want to hold up the line! I opted for these black slip-on sneakers that have a snakeskin look to them.

Once you've arrived to your destination and are ready to hit the town, you can make a few simple changes to your outfit to dress it up! I swapped the sneakers for my favorite pair of OTK boots - the perfect way to add a little sass. Then I added some pretty Kendra Scott jewelry, like this long gold necklace.
