Well.... ya girl is officially 22!
I had such a fun weekend celebrating with friends and family! I kind of spread out the celebrations over the whole weekend because restricting a birthday to just one day is no fun ;) I know this is mainly a "style" blog but I like sharing a little bit of my life on this site too! So here's a quick recap of my birthday weekend (and what I wore)...
Friday Night: Family Dinner at Ruth's Chris
I kicked off the weekend by dining at Ruth's Chris with my mom, stepdad, and boyfriend. I am mildly obsessed with the filet topped with crab at Ruth's Chris! So of course I begged my parents to take me there for my birthday, haha. I didn't take an outfit photo on this night (#BadBloggerAlert) but I wore a hot pink Vince Camuto tank with skinny jeans and these adorable leopard heels.

Saturday Morning: Birthday Donuts (and cake!)
My mom knows how to make every birthday feel special! I'm so thankful for that. Not about the material stuff necessarily, but just knowing that someone cares so much that they go out of their way to make you have a special day. I've been staying at my parents' house until I move into my apartment later this week, so she was able to wake me up in bed with donuts with a candle in them - so sweet!
And she also had this beautiful gold and pink cake made for me. And the macarons on top? SO DANG GOOD.

Saturday: Red Dress Run
This year, the annual Red Dress Run fell on my birthday so my friends and I took a trip over to NOLA to celebrate. While we didn't actually register to run the marathon (LOL at the thought of that), we still dressed the part, got our dance on, and had our fair share of Hand Grenades - a must if you visit New Orleans. And of course, we had to pop champagne in the middle of Bourbon Street!
Saturday Night: Dinner at Nottoway Plantation
To finish out my actual birthday, my boyfriend took me to a lovely little dinner at Nottoway Plantation. (And I may have still had glitter stuck to my face from the Red Dress Run earlier in the day... sooo classy!!) Anyway, Nottoway has always been one of my favorite places because I love the beautiful architecture and gardens. So it felt only fitting that I wrapped up my birthday there while wearing a pretty dress and dining with my boyfriend!

Monday: Mom/Daughter Day Trip
To finish out my birthday weekend celebration, my mom and I took a day trip to Lafayette, Louisiana. It's about an hour away from Baton Rouge, and it's the perfect mix of little town meets big city. I turned to my Instagram story to ask for suggestions on where to eat and what to do, and I got so many helpful responses! So thanks to everyone who took the time to message me! We ended up eating lunch and getting margs at Agave, shopped around River Ranch, and got desserts and coffee at Indulge!

And now I'm back into the normal swing of things: work all day, blog stuff in the evening, cuddle with my pup at night! And I can't complain.

Wow! You got an amazing fashion style. I am going to follow you religiously from now on. And I really loved your dress a lot. It is gorgeous! My birthday is also around the corner and I have booked one of the nicest Chicago venues for the celebration. I just haven’t started shopping for my dress. I must hurry!
